A fifteen year old patient from Israel, suffering from a serious heart defect, arrived at Newark airport at 5:30 one morning, with a medical escort. His flight from Israel continued with an ICU jet flight to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Johns Hopkins Children’s Center offers one of the most comprehensive pediatric medical programs in the country, and is a world leader in repairing such heart abnormalities. Doctors in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit successfully stabilized the patient.
The entire trip, from Tel Aviv to Baltimore, was coordinated by VitalOne at the request of the patient’s family. VitalOne put a lot of heart into the transfer to ensure the patient’s safe arrival.
